New: the blog has been re-envisioned to geek out over my favorite hobby, Magic the Gathering. You've been warned.

I also use Twitter a bit and write poetry on Chapbook.

You can axe me pretty much anything.

Classic White Trash versus Landstill. Victory, 2-1, White Trash! I thought the combination of Mishra’s Factory, Standstill and Pernicious Deed with Spell Snares would be too much for me. He won game 1 when I had no clue what he was playing and Revoked Lotus Petal. But, post-board, I managed to get Revokers down for Pernicious Deed before he could play a Standstill and rode them to a very low life total. He ended up having to pop his own Standstill to get protection. My Strip Mine, 4 Wasteland and 4 Ghost Quarter basically trumped his 4 Mishra’s Factory. Each game ended with him at very low life and me with 3-4 basic lands and a full grip of hate bears.

This deck is fun. I can’t wait for Thalia!
