Remembering Maxwell Harmon

I’m sad to report that one of my good friends, Max died a few days ago.  He was a core member of a very tight group of friends who hung out in town, at the old used book store and at Drew’s comic book store.  We spent so much time together, collectively, that we have an entire Clockwork Orange-esque (in size, mostly) lexicon of slang that’s un-intelligible by outsiders.

Many of you don’t know Max, I’m sure.  My thoughts go out to his family.  He was a well-loved and respected dude.  To reference a favorite moment in Max/Shepherdstown history, his death has been a real swift kick in the goodberries.

I think for nerd night, I’m going to drink a DP (sans straw) in Max’s honor.  And that’s not just joke yoke.

Peace, man.
